Lace And Lingerie For Everyday?

When I decided to write about this topic, I wasn’t sure if was going to be too taboo. I thought W.W.M.S. = What would mom say?…

 

Lace and lingerie has always been an eye turner since the beginning of time, but rocking it during day-time hours? Whether it’s a date night or a night out with the girls, lace and lingerie are hot. The more pressing topic is how 2015 was the year of sheer, but 2016 is the year of underwear as outerwear, according to People!  Let’s be serious, who doesn’t love class with some sass? You won’t see me rocking looks like Kim K. did here, but my adorable blouse like this one is a sure fire ‘yes’.

I think, as women, we often aren’t confident in ourselves or our bodies. We tend to cover ourselves a bit or play a very conservative card. I know I sure do! I am hardly ever in anything deemed ‘sexy’. I have to remind myself that I’m not dead and it is okay to wear something that is lace or has a deep V cut! Live a little, Chels! ;).  In all seriousness though, I’m not very good at the ‘sexy’ persona. I’m more of your pony tail, baseball cap, laugh at my own jokes kind of girl. However, every now and again, it’s okay to look like a little minx in lace and lingerie as outerwear!       

When we shot this look last week, while in Atlanta, I told Jocelyn, don’t zoom in on my top… it’ll look too hooker-ish. In retrospect, I had to remind myself that in 60 years from now we are all going to wish we looked like we did when we were in our 20’s or 30’s. Be confident, be bold, and pull out that lace on your next date night or night out with the girls. Just maybe try not to pull a full Kim K. perhaps?
